Broadway Class Experience for Students

Ah, Broadway.

When my thoughts turn to Broadway they turn to bright lights, the red curtain, dazzling costumes, and the amazing actors and actresses who make the show happen. You probably think of similar things.

What if I told you that you could experience a small taste of that, would you be interested? If so, wouldn’t you want to learn from someone who has been on Broadway?

I’m sure that you are nodding your head excitedly, so, I am going to tell you about my experience in the Broadway Classroom.

You never really know what you are going to walk into, when it comes to showbiz, but with the Broadway Classroom, you can guarantee that you are going to be learning from one of the cast members from a play that is currently showing, so be sure to catch a play before or after your class!

Recently, I was able to experience a small taste of Broadway with a Broadway Classroom experience. During my Broadway Classroom Experience, I was able to meet with and learn from one of the fabulous cast members of “Chicago”, the musical. The class about fifty-five minutes in length and during it we were able to learn a routine to the song “All that Jazz”. The class was high energy yet definitely something that everyone one in the room was able to learn, no matter their previous skills.

During the class, our instructor would go over any part that we wanted so that we all felt like we had a strong grasp of the routine. She also told us tales of her rehearsals, which is also a very interesting aspect of the business. This is definitely a class experience that I would recommend for all groups.

Along with the dance routine class, Broadway Classroom offers a wide variety of classes that you can take, such as Broadway 101, Improvisation, Making a Scene, Making Music, Stage Combat and many more! There are also classes that focus on the behind the scenes production of a Broadway play, such as Business of the Business, Stage Make-up, and The Art of the Quick Change. No matter if you want to be in the spotlight or not, there is a classroom for you!

So what do you think, are you ready to plan your next trip to the big stage? If you are, give us a call to get you started.
