Chattanooga Zoo

Chattanooga Zoo

Located on 13 acres within Warner Park, the Chattanooga Zoo is a must-visit for your group while in the area. First founded in 1937, this non-profit zoo has grown into a well-known wildlife center that provides excellent animal care and has educated thousands of children each year since opening.

There are several different animal areas within the zoo, such as Deserts and Forests, Walking the Tracks, Warner Park Ranch, Corcavado Jungle, Gombe Forest, and Himalayan Passage. Within Gombe Forest, you can visit chimpanzees and black mangabeys, in the Warner Park Ranch you will have the chance to visit a petting zoo, and in the Himalayan Passage come face to face with red pandas and snow leopards.

Take a Zoo Tour or Wild Encounter experience to go behind the scenes with these animals and their keepers, each encounter lasting just a half hour. The tours have the following options: Carnivore, Reptile, and Primate.

Younger groups will enjoy the Camel Encounters rides, Zoo Choo, and Animal Adventures Education Center. If you work up an appetite during your visit stop at Wild Burger, the onsite eatery that provides delicious gourmet burgers, chicken tenders, salads, and the like.
