Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts

Welcome to the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts, the popular arts center located in downtown Orlando that hosts regular popular Broadway shows, big-name concerts, comedians, orchestra and dance performances.

This center replaced the Bob Carr Theater, which itself replaced the Orlando Municipal Auditorium founded in 1927. Today this large, multilevel venue holds several theaters within it, including the Walt Disney Theater, Bob Carr Theater, Alexis and Jim Pugh Theater, DeVos Family Room, Della Phillips Grand Lobby, Scneff Arts Plaza, and, expected in 2020, the Steinmetz Hall and Green Room.

Take a public tour of the Dr. Phillips Center and experience 60 to 90 minutes of architecture exploration, education about the onsite award-winning programs, and behind the scenes tidbits here and there. There are bars on Tiers 1,3, and 4, and Tier 2 hosts Crafts, the perfect spot for 'lite bites' and snacks. The 5th Tier, the Kessler Tier, is also popular for its birds-eye views of the center.

We will check to see what shows are playing during your groups visit, with options ranging from shows like Dane Cook and The Nightmare Before Christmas to Beethoven's 5th and Les Miserables.
