Edgar Cayce’s A.R.E.

Edgar Cayce's A.R.E.

The mission of the A.R.E. is to create opportunities for profound personal change in body, mind, and spirit through the wisdom found in the Edgar Cayce material.

For a tour stop a little out of the ordinary while in Virginia Beach consider Edgar Cayce's A.R.E., Association for Research and Enlightenment.

This research center allows guests to 'explore the fascinating work of Edgar Caye, one of the most documented psychics of all time, a renowned mystic, and the father of holistic medicine'. This center was first founded in 1931 by Cayce himself, who lived from 1877 to 1945. Cayce's goal was to 'help people transform their lives', and his goal for his research center, in particular, was to be 'the resource for body-mind-spirit materials that help in everyday experience to be all that you can be'.

At the headquarters of Edgar Cayce's A.R.E here in Virginia Beach, your group will be able to explore the Visitor Center, Library, Bookstore, and Gift Shop associated with Edgar Cayce and his work, this center attracting over 100,000 visitors each year ranging from researchers and health care professionals to vacationers and philosophers. Guests can investigate information from Cayce's 'psychic readings' by exploring the over 14,000 works within the onsite library. This library is considered to be one of the largest, most-respected metaphysical libraries in the world and it features daily free activities such as films, tours, lectures, meditation, and ESP Testing.

After exploring Cayce's works head to the Gift Shop and Bookstore to pick up mind-body-spirit products such as jewelry, gemstones, crystals, and books. If you leave the A.R.E more interested in the subject matter and/or man behind it than you thought, consider extending this adventure by visiting the A.R.E Health Center and Spa on 67th Street.

Let us not worry about what others are doing, apparently in opposition to our purpose; but let us look rather to what we ourselves are doing in relation to our purpose. - Edgar Cayce
