El Paso Museum of Art Credit Destination El Paso

The mission of the El Paso Museum of Art is to collect, preserve, interpret, and exhibit works of art that support and illuminate the Museum’s permanent collection of American, European, and Mexican art.

Welcome to the El Paso Museum of Art, or EPMA for short. This museum is 'home to an inspiring collection of art from our region and beyond our border', the museum boasting galleries reflecting the area's American, Mexican, and European roots. It is the only accredited art museum within a 250-mile radius, serving over 100,000 visitors each year.

The museum allows you to immerse yourself in the art with various special exhibits, permanent collections, and guided tours. The permanent collections hold over 7000 works and are split into European, Modern & Contemporary, Latin American, and American sections.

Explore the El Paso Museum of Art with a self-guided tour, or perhaps participate in a guided tour that allows you to 'discover the story behind the art'. The tour guides will fill you in on history, techniques, and ideas along the way. For extra fun book the Tour + Studio, which allows you to make your own masterpiece at Art School after the tour. School groups specifically will have more in-depth experience, the museum helping students 'make connections between analyzing and making art'.
