Gettysburg Train Station
The Gettysburg Train Station is located in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. The artifacts and tours are centered on Abraham Lincoln.
This museum features a number of locomotives. These include the outdoor caboose, the new operating train layout, the simulated funeral train car, a toy train collection, the recreated railroad model layout, and the Thomas the Tank Engine layout. The students can climb aboard the caboose and journey back in time with President Lincoln as he travels to Gettysburg to dedicate the National Cemetery which is within walking distance of the museum. Onboard the funeral train car, your student tour will ride with Lincoln’s spirit on a journey through and history of the nation!
The location also features attractions that focus on the spirit of Lincoln along with the spirit of America. Exhibits include the Video hall of America, historical artifacts layouts, and displays. The students will walk with Jim Getty who is an actor portraying President Lincoln through the fascinating history of our nation along the video hall of America. The student group can also recall the battles and wars the nation has endured and paid tribute to our heroes, the soldiers, veterans, law enforcement and EMS of the United States.
