For a historic insight into Phoenix's not so distant past plan a visit to Heritage Square while in the area, the original Phoneix townsite that holds historic homes and museums within its confines that are open for exploration.

Heritage Square is the oldest remaining residential block in Phoenix, with 10 carefully restored buildings offering a look into the city's vibrant past. Each place presents history interpreting the people and history of this square, particularly regarding life during the late Victorian Period in the Western United States.

Take a public tour of the neighborhood's crowning jewel, the restored Rosson House Museum, a gorgeous Victorian from 1895.  You will find exhibits and collections within giving insight on historic Phoenix Victorian life, with more exhibits also inside the Visitor Center and Stevens-Hausgen Heritage Gallery. Tours begin every hour on the hour.
