Ipsento Coffee
Welcome to one of the finest coffee shops in all of Chicago, the highly-praised Ipsento Coffee. This counter-serve coffee cafe offers not only the tastiest lattes in the city, but also several tasty choices sandwiches, pastries, and other 'lite bites'.
Ipsento started in 2006, the name itself explaining the reasoning behind it; 'ipse' = self, 'sentio' = to discover (Latin roots). The founder wanted to give guests a profoundly deeper experience of coffee, taking his global coffee travels, stories, theories, experiences, and even knock-knock jokes and mixing them all together in one outstanding cup of coffee. 'Only the most brilliant, sustainable coffees in the world' are brewed here, and you can learn all about the process by signing up for a 'Coffee Class'. The process of sourcing and roasting seasonal coffees, green and roasted coffees, and single origin micro-lot coffees will all be discussed in one of these courses.
Be sure to try the iconic Ipsento Latte during your visit, made with coconut milk, dairy, honey, cayenne, and espresso. There are plays on this latte such as the Sassy Ipsento, made with a potent brew of Wildfire Espresso.
