Jack Frost Ski Resort

Jack Frost Ski Resort

The Jack Frost Ski Resort is a long-running resort tradition in the Kidder Township of the Pocono Region. It was first opened in 1972 and features trails and terrain parks at both the Jack Frost Mountain and Big Boulder Mountain. The park is 3 hours from NYC and 1 hour from Philadelphia.

Explore over 20 different trails and a massive terrain park for skiing and snowboarding at the resort, the perfect place in the Poconos to enjoy top-notch winter recreation. There are 9 lifts onsite, a hotel, shops, and several restaurants. The thing about this resort many people like is that you get two experiences in one ticket, one at Jack Frost and one at Big Boulder. Jack Frost Mountain has an elevation of 2000', and Big Boulder has 2175'.

The history of this resort is pretty interesting, with deep roots in the industrial age. A local Big Boulder employee who helped build actually pioneered the snowmaking machine! This puts Jack Frost Ski Resort at the heart and soul of the Northeastern Pennslyvania ski industry.

There are several onsite eateries for those either staying at the resort or simply taking advantage of the slopes, with different options at Jack Frost and Big Boulder. Enjoy Jack's Burrito Bar, Cafe Frost, The Frosty Toboggan, The Cantina, or Big Boulder Park Lodge and Grill when you work up an appetite!
