One of the world's steepest incline railways, the Lookout Mountain Incline Railway will make the perfect addition to any group itinerary in Chattanooga, this fantastic attraction providing guests with some of the best views in the entire city!

Sometimes called 'America's Most Amazing Mile', this 125-year-old funicular railway system takes guests up a 72.7% grade in trolley-style cars. The cars are powered by 2 hundred horsepower engines, an amazing transportation system worth learning about during your visit!

At the top, your group will be able to enjoy panoramic views from the observation tower as well as visit and learn about various Civil War points of interest, such as the Battles for Chattanooga Museum and Point Park. Point Park is a part of the Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park system, famous for the 'Battle Above the Clouds' battle in 1863. Of course, there is more than just Civil War history to be explored up here, with several local infamous rivalries and famous grand hotels sharing the area's noteworthy history.

Before or after your visit to the top take some time to explore the various attractions at the bottom, the historic community of St. Elmo offering various shops, restaurants, and cultural attractions that appeal to a wide variety of guests.
