Manitoba Children's Museum

The children's museum provides an environment that nurtures the power of the imagination and the spirit of self-discovery.

Groups with younger children will most definitely want to make a stop at the Manitoba Children's Museum while in Winnipeg, the premier place for 'families to play, laugh, learn, and grow'.

This museum 'exists to spark kids creative learning', a local children's staple for over 30 years. The museum is housed within the oldest surviving train repair facility in Western Canada, first built in 1889.

Inside you will find 12 permanent galleries to explore, all full of hands-on fun and learning. The latest innovations in education are used within the creative environment, the galleries overall creating a powerful learning experience. Here are the galleries to explore:

  • Engine House

  • Lasagna Lookout
  • Mellow Marsh
  • Milk Machine
  • Pop m'Art
