The Wheel at Icon Park
A massive Ferris wheel, The Wheel at Icon Park is as iconic as its London counterpart and just as fun. One of the newest and most fun attractions in central Florida, the Orlando Eye (former name) is one of the largest observation wheels on the East Coast, standing at an impressive 400 feet! There's no better way to see the layout of the surrounding metropolitan city and far-reaching landscape than a moving bird's eye view from atop a mega Ferris wheel.
We all love carnival rides, right? So it stands to reason that if you make the carnival ride bigger, it'd be that much more fun. This was certainly the case with The Wheel at Icon Park, a Ferris wheel created on a much larger scale than its traditional carnival brethren. Climb aboard the fully encased tram cars and be whisked away to the top of the world. Look over the kingdom of central Florida, over Orlando's bright lights and happy sounds, out to the wetlands and bayous of Florida's natural landscape. Sunsets light up the cabin with brilliant colors, revealing a side of Florida you've never seen before and making for the perfect photo to take back home.
The Wheel at Icon Park is a completely safe, air-conditioned experience that includes tickets to the 4D pre-flight Cinema Experience as well as the famed ride in the sky. The Orlando Eye is currently open daily at 10 am, closing its doors at midnight on Fridays and Saturdays. Don't miss out on the light shows at night when the Eye is lit up with neon colors, showing off its Floridian roots in style!
