Rochester Institute of Technology

Welcome to the Rochester Institute of Technology, or RIT for short. RIT is a 'hub of innovation and creativity' first founded in 1829. It has 9 total different colleges within the university, including the College of Art and Design, Golisano College of Computing and Information Sciences, Saunders College of Business, Gleason College of Engineering, College of Engineering Tech, College of Health Sciences and Tech, College of Liberal Arts, College of Science, and the National Technical Institute for the Deaf.

RIT is a place where brilliant minds assemble and collaborate, where they pool together their individual talents across disciplines in service of big ideas and creative solutions.

When your student group visits you will have the chance to visit the RIT MAGIC Center, the Center for Media, Arts, Games, Interaction, & Creativity. This research center and production studio has high-tech education sessions that your group can sign up for, such as MAGIC Spell Studios and Motion Picture Science. The first session allows you to 'create as you go' with a hands-on production studio session. The second teaches your group about film editing, color correction, digital technology, and 3-D effects. After the session, or sessions, if you choose to do both, your group will be able to enjoy a 1-hour tour of the RIT campus as well.
