Ruby Falls is undeniably one of the most stunning natural attractions in or around Chattanooga, this 145-foot waterfall located within a limestone cavern in Lookout Mountain.  It is considered to be the nation's tallest and deepest underground waterfall open to the public, showing off a display of hundreds of gallons of water by the minute, illuminated by neon lights below.

Ruby Falls is named such due to how it was found. In 1928 a man named Leo Lambert and a team of excavators found this waterfall area, and Leo immediately named it Ruby Falls, Ruby the name of his wife. The waterfall became open to the public in 1930.

There are a few different tour options for Ruby Falls, the most popular being the 45-minute Classic Waterfall Tour. There is also the Lantern Tour and Extended Cavern Experience Tour. Each tour is professionally led and will take you through the 'naturally wonderful' cavern, which sits at a comfortable 60-degree temperature year-round.

While here your group will also be able to see the views from the Lookout Mountain Tower, visit the onsite gift shop, grab a bite to eat at the Cavern Cafe, or for something a bit more adventurous, visit the onsite ZIPStream Aerial Adventure area. Here you will find one-of-a-kind thrills such as a 40-foot climbing tower and 700 total feet of zip lines.
