Myrtle Beach Skywheel
Comparable to the London Eye, the Myrtle Beach Skywheel is an iconic, magnificent Ferris wheel that carries entertained passengers up high above the city. Open 24 hours a day, Sunday through Saturday, the Skywheel was built for nonstop enjoyment.
Up to six of your friends can climb into the glass bubble trains that is lifted 200 feet in the air. Explore the city skyline and look down below at the Oceanfront Boardwalk and the tiny people walking with cones of cotton candy and corndogs. Each train is comfortably suited with three seats on either side and 360-degree views. The ride lasts approximately 8-10 minutes, passing three revolutions around the wheel.
Every night at dusk the Skywheel is lit in a fabulous neon display that can be seen from any spot on the 1.2-mile long boardwalk. Come with your sweetheart for the date night special ride or hop in with your student group, a bunch of friends, or your family for a unique, sensational ride in the clouds.
The boardwalk and promenade are home to more than the Skywheel. Come for the Ferris wheel and stay for the Ripley’s Believe It or Not museum, the arcade, or the collection of surf shops and delicious restaurants.
