St Norbert Farmers Market

With both summer and winter shopping opportunities, Winnipeg's St Norbert Farmers Market is always a great addition during your group's visit.
More officially known as Le Marché St Norbert Farmers Market, this market is Manitoba's largest farmer's market with over 200 active members. The market began in 1988 with only 8 vendors, quickly growing into a local shopping tradition. The great thing about shopping here is that you are supporting local Manitoba producers, you can even 'talk to the person who grew your dinner, meet the baker and the soap maker'!
While here shop farm-fresh fruit, flowers, meats, and veggies, as well as fresh, local Manitoban treats. Sample cookies, honey, cantaloupe and more as you enjoy music from the entertainers and buskers. Browse the craft stalls containing everything from wooden toys and leather purses to metal works and fine jewelry.
There are summer markets each May through Thanksgiving, as well as bi-weekly winter markets in the off-season.
