Talking Rocks Cavern

Talking Rocks Cavern

Welcome to Talking Rocks Cavern, a cave system located in Branson West. Once known as 'Missouri's most beautiful cave', this cave is a highly popular local attraction owned by Hershcend Family Entertainment.

Talking Rocks Cavern is a vertical cave in nature, meaning you will encounter several handrails and steps along the way during your 1-hour public tour. The tour is what they like to call 'edutainment', filled with education on how the cave was discovered, the history of the area, and details on the cave's geology and minerals. You will learn about how this crystal-filled cave used to be called "Fairy Cave", as a man exploring it, Truman Powell, said it looked like a 'subterranean Fairyland'. In 1969 Silver Dollar City bought the cave and changed the name to Talking Rocks in honor of Powells son, who said the rocks inside the cave speak and tell the story of formation.

Above ground, you can take part in several different leisurely activities, such as Cave Country Mini-Golf, the Speleo Crawl Mazes, hiking, panning for gemstones, and shopping within the gift shop. There is also a kids play area for the youngins.
