The Magic House
Welcome to The Magic House, the St. Louis Children’s Museum located in Kirkwood. First opened in 1979 in a quaint little 5,500 square foot Victorian mansion, this museum provides guests with educational exhibits, hands-on activities, and regular entertaining and educational events.
Inside your students will have the opportunity to explore hundreds of interactive exhibits that are designed to ‘pique curiosity, spark imagination, and foster a lifelong love of learning’. The exhibits and subjects discussed in each meet national and state academic standards and the variety of hands-on educational experiences work to promote critical thinking and collaboration. Here are some exhibits you will see during your visit:

- STEAM Center
- Canfield Station
- Future Play
- Star-Spangled Center
- Jack and the Beanstalk
There are k-8 field trip options onsite, with extra educational resources and opportunities. Magic House serves about 60,000 schoolchildren annually!
