University of Minnesota
If anyone in your group is interested in becoming a Golden Gopher at the University of Minnesota then be sure to set up a campus visit while you are in town. Even if nobody in your group is particularly interested in the school right off bat, this will be an excellent college campus touring experience for your high schoolers in general, and you may walk away with a few students who feel at home here at U of M!
This school was first established in 1851, with a long history as Minnesota's only research university. Students here enjoy the rich history, beautiful campus, and exciting Big Ten atmosphere, and these things are truly best experienced in person!
During your visit, you will sit in on the 'Be a Part of Something Great' information session with an admissions counselor. During this session you will discuss the academic experience at the University of Minnesota in detail, then afterward you will take a Campus Walking Tour. On this tour, you will see historic buildings, high-tech classrooms, the recreation center, the Coffman Memorial Union, and more. You will learn all about what makes this university stand apart from others, like their world-renowned professors, research opportunities, 23 Division I sports teams, and over 140 majors offered. It's no wonder so many students shout 'ski-u-mah'!!
