Western Playland

Western Playland

To let loose and have some good old-fashioned fun while in the El Paso area head to Western Playland, the locally-loved 30-acre family amusement park.

Western Playland is technically in Sunland Park, New Mexico, today, its original 1960s location moved from El Paso. The park features an old-school vibe with classic park concessions, rides, and games. With over '50 years of family fun tradition', it is easy to see why Western Playland is considered to be the #1 park in the southwest area.

There are two ways you can experience the amusement park: 1). Buy general admission and then individual ride tickets. 2). Buy a POP Pay One Price bracelet that includes both admission and unlimited rides. There are over 25 rides and attractions onsite, including 2 coasters, a water ride, and an assortment of kid-friendly rides. The steel behemoth El Bandito and water-ride Tsunami are always guests favorites, the latter of the two shooting up a massive 50 feet, generating an enormous 70-foot tidal wave for onlookers. More favorites include the Miner Coaster, Pharoah's Fury, Hurricane, and Himalaya.

*This park is open seasonally from late February to early September.
