Sugar Mill Botanical Gardens - What was formerly the Dunlawton Plantation and Sugar Mill is today a popular and gorgeous botanical garden, complete with various ruins and relics from the area's past. This is a fantastic attraction option for your group due to its extremely fine mix of history and natural science, not to mention the beauty of the spot in general.There is an onsite butterfly garden, a prized collection of bromeliads, ginger, and cacti, and even a rare human sundial. There are also such plants as azaleas, camellias, ivies, magnolias, palms, and succulents, Asian landscape features, an herb garden, a children's garden, a tropical plant collection, and a demonstration area for master gardeners courses.

Ponce De Leon Lighthouse -During the climb up to the top of the famous Ponce De Leon Lighthouse students will be guided by the Light Inlet Station’s historic keepers, various tidbits of trivia given throughout. Once at the top, they will be able to observe the breathtaking view of the Atlantic Ocean, inlet, and the inland waterways. On the tour of the Keeper’s Dwellings, your group will examine exhibits that are related to the interesting history of Ponce De Inlet Station, the United States Lighthouse Service, and the local area. There are three separate structures that were built in 1887, which had no running water, indoor plumbing, electricity, or air conditioning.

Dine and Cruise - See all the best riverside scenery Florida has to offer with Daytona’s very own Dine and Cruise, the local dinner cruise that shows guests all the best of the Halifax River. This dinner and river cruise provides guests with two full hours of Intracoastal Waterway sights, the trip providing several chances to spot a dolphin or two while eating and enjoying upbeat music and facts along the way. Foodwise, your group will be able to choose from four excellent meal options, your choices including prime rib, turkey and stuffing, ham and pineapple, or garlic shrimp, each served with garlic mashed potatoes and green beans.

Museum of Arts and Sciences -Within the walls of this broadly themed museum, you will be able to explore over 30,000 objects ranging from local Florida relics to one of the finest American art collections in the southeast. You will have several different galleries and gallery tours to choose from while here, the most popular galleries including the Dow Gallery of American Art, S Chute Gallery of Chinese Art, the Bouchelle Collection, The Cuban Foundation Museum, and the Prehistory of Florida Gallery. There are options for hands-on classes for the younger ones as well, subjects covered including the Milky Way, Energy, Oceans, and Fossils.

Halifax Historical Museum - Take in all the local history you can handle with one visit to the Halifax Historical Museum, the premier history museum covering all things Daytona Beach! Inside the museum, you will find exhibits, photographs, and various lifestyle items such as homewares all represented within a neoclassical setting. The permanent exhibits here tell the history of the great Daytona Beach area and Halifax County, some of the subjects represented being the Timucuans (local Native American tribe), Spanish and British Colonial Era, Early Pioneers, Beach Road Racing, WWI and WWII, and Jackie Robinson. The wide variety of subjects within will certainly shed light on why this is considered to be one of the ‘best-kept secrets’ in north-central Florida.

Daytona International Speedway - What trip to Daytona Beach would be complete without visiting the home of the Daytona 500 itself, the Daytona International Speedway? This famous race track holds the most prestigious race in NASCAR, not to mention over 8 more really iconic racing events. It’s no wonder this Speedway has been dubbed the ‘world center of racing’!Established in 1959, this race track quickly became known as the largest outdoor stadium in the state, one of the largest in the country. Aside from interesting history, you will also be able to enjoy international race car attractions, NASCAR Racing Experiences, and exciting films within the onsite IMAX Theater.
