Day 3 You'll See

This 3-day grad trip through the Minneapolis - Saint Paul area is one of our favorite upper midwest itineraries, providing groups with equal parts fun, education, and enlightenment. Spend 3 days making memories, getting to know the area, and enjoying yourselves, you deserve it!

Day
1

Paradise Charter Cruise

Enjoy a narrated sightseeing cruise aboard the Historic Minneapolis Queen Paddleboat. This boat is a modern-day replica of the old grand riverboats of the Mississippi River. The cruise takes you along the southern trails of the Grand Rounds Scenic Byway and Heritage Trail, along the U of M Campus riverfront, under the 35W Bridge, past the St. Anthony Falls, and under the historic Stone Bridge, showing off river bluffs and the Minneapolis downtown skyline the entire time. You will learn all about the Mightly Mississippi, the historic riverfront, and the local Milling District during your ride. You may choose to add a sack lunch (hot dog, chips, and drink) to this cruise with field trip groups.

Paisley Park

Paisley Park is a recording studio, Prince's private estate, and production complex. Inside you will see artifacts from his life, with guided tours of the grounds now available. This is an unprecedented opportunity to experience first hand what it was like for Prince to create, produce, and perform inside his private sanctuary. "Love, freedom, connection, community and spirituality are all ever-present at Paisley Park." Prince designed Paisley Park with the capabilities to handle music recordings, clothing production, artwork, graphic design, music videos, and full-length films.

Chanhassen Dinner Theater

The theatre complex is 90,000 square feet, hosting over 12.5 million guests a year. While here visitors can see Broadway shows such as Mamma Mia! and The Music Man, comedy shows like Stevie Ray's Comedy Cabaret, and other various concerts, special presentations, and events. The massive staff here includes actors, musicians, design teams, and crews, the conglomeration of workers all wanting to make Chanhassen the best dinner theatre there is! Speaking of dinner, while here you will enjoy a great sit down dinner featuring entrees such as Famous Chicken Chanhassen, Cornmeal Crusted Walleye, Grilled Top Sirloin, and so much more!

Day
2

Mall of America

Featuring over 520 stores, 60 restaurants, and a handful of top-notch entertainment attractions, you can undoubtedly spend a whole day blissfully lost in the Mall of America. Aside from the obvious, almost-overwhelming amount of things you can choose to do here, one of our favorite things about the mall is that there is no sales tax on clothing and shoes, as the state of Minnesota is one of few in the U.S. to not tax those items. Grab a bite to eat at any of the 60 onsite restaurants while here, you can get almost anything your heart desires here, you can even take a cooking class if you'd like! Once you've fueled up it's time for some serious entertainment, with several activity options from movie theaters to theme parks onsite!
