You will learn about the port’s influence on the city’s present and past, learn about the heavy Navy influence in the city, and about the very history of the city’s name. Learn about Spanish explorer Alonso Pineda who discovered this bay in 1519 and named it the Latin equivalent of ‘the Body of Christ,’ as well as of the current abundant and gorgeous local flora and fauna.
A trip down south will allow your group to see the very best of Corpus Christi and it’s surrounding cities, such as the occasionally featured South Padre Island, right along the Mexico border.
