Welcome to the Walker Art Center, the multidisciplinary contemporary art center located in Minneapolis' Lowry Hill neighborhood. This acclaimed art venue features contemporary art in a variety of media, a sculpture garden and an onsite bistro.
A catalyst for the creative expression of artists, the Walker Art Center features gardens, galleries, cinema, stage, labs, and a design studio. Your group will be able to explore these various facets of the center, overall getting a good glimpse into the arts of our time. They will see such collections as Rosemary Furtalk's Artist Book and the Merce Cunningham Cance Company Collection, as well as be able to take part in various group tours, k-12 guided visits, hands-on art labs, and educational programs. The programs available here include Architecture/Design, Education and Public Programming, Moving Image, Performing Arts, and Visual Arts.
