Chattanooga has quite the adventure in store for your group, this 2-day journey showing you the best scenery, the best outdoor recreation options, and the best local landmarks in general!

Lookout Mountain Railway

Sometimes called 'America's Most Amazing Mile', this 125-year-old funicular railway system takes guests up a 72.7% grade in trolley-style cars. At the top, your group will be able to enjoy panoramic views from the observation tower as well as visit and learn about various Civil War points of interest. At the bottom, you can explore the community of St. Elmo, filled with shopping and dining. This is the perfect way to introduce your group to Chattanooga!

Ruby Falls

Next head to Lookout Mountain's Ruby Falls, a 145-foot waterfall located within a limestone cavern. It is considered to be the nation's tallest and deepest underground waterfall open to the public, showing off a display of hundreds of gallons of water by the minute, illuminated by neon lights below. There are a few different tour options for Ruby Falls, the most popular being the 45-minute Classic Waterfall Tour.

Rock City

Start your second day at Rock City, a gorgeous Lookout Mountain attraction featuring a  4,100-foot walking trail with various rock formations, caves, and gardens. See the Enchanted Trail, Fairyland Caverns, and Mother Goose Village, each providing their own unique charm and beauty. Head to the Swing-a-Long Bridge for an epic view and bit of a thrill, or to the 'See Seven States' Lookout to see, on a clear day that is, Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, and Tennessee!

Tennessee Aquarium

Next head to the Tennessee Aquarium, where your group will be able to enjoy an educational adventure like no other.Within River Journey, you will trace the path of freshwater from the mountains to the sea, 25% of the countries freshwater species actually found in this very region. Within the Ocean Journey building, you will explore various saltwater habitats and see their inhabitants such as penguins, stingrays, sharks, and live coral reefs.

Coolidge Park Carousel

The Coolidge Park Carousel has 52 stunning hand-carved animals, a calliope band organ, and gold leaf benches decorating it, the stunning ride recently restored by local master wood carver Bud Ellis and some of his studio workers and volunteers. We think your students will enjoy a go around on this carousel regardless of age, a lengthy ride only costing adults $1!

Southern Belle Riverboat Cruise and Dinner

The Southern Belle Riverboat is a true 'must-do' while in Chattanooga, this cruise experience providing the best views, the best food, and the best all-around entertainment experience on the Tennessee River! Your group will have the pleasure of enjoying the Dining Cruise, this cruise lasting 2 hours filled with live entertainment, a full meal, tours of the pilot house, and sightseeing opportunities. The food all depends on the night you are visiting, with options such as flat iron steak, prime rib, Cajun chicken, roast beef, and several scrumptious southern sides.
