This 3-day South Florida itinerary is our beachiest one yet, giving your group 3 full days of beachside bliss in Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood, and Miami!

Day
1

Fort Lauderdale Beach

Start your epic 3-day beach-filled trip at Fort Lauderdale Beach, the 'beach-chic' destination that provides guests with plenty of recreation and relaxation options. The over 7 miles of beach here will allow your group to choose from such activities as boating, windsurfing, jet-skiing, volleyball, snorkeling, scuba diving, and even rollerblading. Enjoy the award-winning wave wall and promenade, the promenade lined with several different sidewalk cafes, shops, and entertainment venues.

Taylor Birch State Park

First founded in 1941, the Taylor Birch State Park is one of the best places to go to immerse yourselves into local Florida nature, the park consisting of 180 acres of freshwater lagoon habitat and diverse wildlife. Your group can spend your time here walking the nature trails, paddle boating, snorkeling, fishing, or just wildlife watching, with several gopher tortoises and rat snakes scurrying about the mangroves. If you are here on a Friday or Saturday you will have the additional activity option of sitting in on a ranger-led walk or talk, as well!

Las Olas Boulevard

End your day on Las Olas Boulevard, the shopping, dining, and entertainment district within the heart of Fort Lauderdale that holds over 3 dozen eateries and over 120 specialty shops and attractions. This must-visit destination will allow your group to split up and take the time to enjoy whatever you each individually choose, be it unique Fort Lauderdale shopping experiences at places like J McLaughlin, tasting local foods at such establishments as B Square Burgers & Booze, or taking in a tour like the popular WonderMunch Food and History Tour.

Day
2

Hollywood Beach and Boardwalk

Day 2 is not going to disappoint as your group starts your morning at the Hollywood Beach and Boardwalk, the spot that Travel + Leisure calls 'one of America's best beach boardwalk areas'. Enjoy all your favorite beachside activities as well as access to the 60-foot observation tower and surrounding boardwalk, which is lined with several different unique shopping and dining experiences. There is a beach theater, 2 children's play areas, picnic tables, a snack bar, and a trolley service on the beach as well!

North Miami Beach

Spend your afternoon at North Miami Beach, an area that is much quieter than South Beach but still provides the all same gorgeous Miami beach scenery and recreation. More locals tend to frequent this area than tourists, the beaches wide, clean, and providing concessions and showers. There is a flat boardwalk leading up to Surfside here, as well as a historic North Beach Bandshell (1961) worth visiting. Pack a picnic and enjoy your afternoon at the North Shore Open Space Park, a tree preserve, and a beachside picnic area.

Day
3

Ocean Drive

Art Deco historic district by day, shopping and entertainment mecca by night, Ocean Drive is the 'linchpin street in setting fashion trends of Miami' (Miami and Beaches), this area providing locals and guests alike with all the finest in fashion! Over 30 designer brands can be found here, such as Armani and Guess, and even more commonly found ones for the younger crowd like Uggs and H&M. South Beach itself is already known as popular art, fashion, culture, and entertainment hub, and Ocean Drive only adds to that title by being an 'edgy fashion mecca since the late 1980s'.

Vizcaya Museum and Gardens

This stunning 18th-century Italian Villa-Esque museum contains works of art spanning over a thousand years from ancient Rome to Chinese ceramics and contemporaneous artists of Deering’s day. See everything from ancient Roman sculptures to Renaissance works, oil paintings, tapestries, and furniture filling every room of the home. The gardens are said to be the heart of Vizcaya’s personality and so are kept historically accurate whilst evolving with the times, much like Vizcaya itself. Within the gardens, you can find a number of sculptures and artistic features including the central element in the Fountain Garden!

South Beach

End your trip at what is known as the American Riviera, Miami’s South Beach! This trendy and unconventional neighborhood has grown into a wildly popular tourist destination for everyone seeking a lively, warm, and inviting spot to relax and find excitement. South Beach stretches from Biscayne Bay to the Atlantic Ocean for miles, making a beautiful location with a perfect climate. With the palm tree classic look, the beach is covered in silky soft golden white sands leading into the brilliant turquoise waters that are a magnet for locals and tourists alike. Though the beach can be crowded, it is worth the effort and crowds to experience this pristine, warm-weather favorite. Hang out on the beach or spend the day shopping and dining the exciting South Beach entertainment district.
